It all began in the darkroom of my high school art department. I've always been a visual learner, passionate about people and finding a way to express myself in positive ways.
Art became my outlet for many years. I attended photography camps at the Maine Photographic Workshops and the Art Institute of Boston. I pushed myself to learn, grow and express myself through the world of art for most of my formative years.
After graduating college with a Culinary Arts/Hospitality degree, I went into Catering and Event Management. I loved the event world of designing colors schemes, fabrics, florals and details for people to celebrate or share memories together.
After we had our first child, I took a break from events to enjoy time with her. As my world evolved and seeing how quickly she changed, I began photographing more. I wanted to capture the ever changing moments changing around me. What started out as a small side hustle and photographing friends babies, quickly became filled with passion, love and a forgotten source of loving people, expressing myself and sharing my creatively with the world around me. I started my Photography business shortly after in 2015.
It's truly a gift to combine my two greatest passions and serve others in the process. I love walking through marriage to parenthood with people and capturing their story as it unfolds.

In a very real sense not one of us is qualified, but it seems that God continually chooses the most unqualified to do his work, to bear his glory. If we are qualified, we tend to think that we have done the job ourselves. If we are forced to accept our evident lack of qualification, then there's no danger that we will confuse God's work with our own, or God's glory with our own.
I am almost always wearing the color blue and my favorite color is seafoam green. I am a spindrift drinker by day and champagne bubbles by night.
I'm half Dutch, originally from Connecticut and will travel near and far for the best cappuccino. I'm an introverted-extrovert and continually learning the 'Rhythms of Grace'.
Wife to a cowboy and mom of two sweet, wild toddlers. I met my husband, on a working cattle ranch in Arizona. We became fast friends, fell in love, and road trip across country all in one summer. It's one of my favorite stories to share! While our life is perfectly, imperfect and often chaotic, I cannot imagine sharing it with anyone else. He is the calming center and behind the scenes to all things Kelsie Elizabeth.
When I'm not behind the camera, you can find me entertaining our friends, making flower arrangements from Trader Joes, or planning our next big adventure.
Look forward to learning about your story!
I have a desire, maybe a slight obsession with traveling. My Oma (Dutch Grandmother) would always say, "I have sand in my shoes". I have a hard time sitting still, being in one place and this tremendous desire to experience the world and other cultures.
Hint hint: I love a destination wedding!!
My love language is quality time. I love date nights with my husband. We are intentional with our time together as many weekends are filled with kids activities and wedding seasons. Conveniently, it has become easier to have a date during the week or during the day. We love a good adventours day date.
As graduate of Johnson & Wales University, Providence campus, I have always loved food. It's what connects us, brings people together, and allows us to "break bread together". I also am a sucker for a tasting menu, michelin star restaurant, and any local "hole in the wall" wild foodie experience.
