As a North Carolina based wedding photographer, I’ve made a list of my favorites, including a few BRAND NEW venues that just opened around 2021. This list will allow you to go straight to the venues I’ve carefully hand selected and more time to plan your dream vendor team for your day. Here is my top 10 favorite venues throughout North Carolina.
THE ANDREWS FARM
Midland, North Carolina
The Andrews Farm, located just outside of Charlotte, NC is a beautiful outdoor wedding venue. It is a tastefully decorated and maintained home with incredible gardens, large fields and a pool surrounding the home. The venue can best accommodate 150 guests, outside only with indoor getting ready options on property. It has great opportunities for reception and ceremony set up as well as a variety of photography options throughout the venue.
The Bradford
New Hill, NC
The Bradford venue is located in New Hill, NC, just outside of Raleigh, North Carolina. It’s a beautiful home with sprawling grounds. You would never think this venue is here as you exit from the highway. It’s has excellent getting ready locations filled with light and space. It’s a photographers dream venue. Behind the home (bridal suite), is a reception space with full bar set up and perfect cocktail hour. The venue can accommodate up to 250 guests with a getting ready, ceremony, cocktail and reception space all in one. You can even spend the night or the entire weekend for the full experience.
Duke Mansion
Charlotte, North Carolina
The Duke Mansion is located just outside of uptown Charlotte, NC. It is one of the top wedding venues in Charlotte North Carolina for many reasons. It’s a beautiful mansion wedding venue with stunning gardens and beautiful interior. The venue can best accommodate 150 guests, with 20 on site overnight guest rooms as well. The black and white check flooring is also a fun feature. This is one you don’t want to miss. It’s close to many hotels, restaurants and fun activities for your guests.
The Biltmore Estate
Asheville, North Carolina
The Biltmore Estate is a classic, historic home located in the heart of Asheville, NC. A wedding at the Biltmore Estate is luxurious, classic and beyond dreams for many couples. I love the rich history, many acres of grounds to photograph your day, the variety of hotels on site for guest accommodations and the mountain views. The venue can best accommodate up to 600 guests, with an outside tent option or many various on property indoor/outdoor locations throughout. My personal favorite, the Conservatory.
Wrightsville Manor
Wrightsville Beach | Wilmington, North Carolina
This has become a new favorite! The Wrightsville Manor located in the Wilmington area of Wrightsville Beach. The venue can best accommodate about 150 guests, outside ceremony location, indoor reception space, cocktails on the side lawn/patio. It is a beautifully designed piece of property that boasts stunning features, intimate locations for photographs and incredible interior for the reception. There are so many wonderful options here for an upscale beach style wedding or destination location.
